Lights on the Hill need your help

FIGHT FOR LIGHTS: Lights on the Hill is an institution in the trucking industry.

The Lights on the Hill committee need your help.

Lights on the Hill Trucking Memorial Inc has run into difficulties and needs help.

The group's new committee successfully staged its 2012 convoy in near record time, but critical records are missing for its preparation for the next event, the annual Memorial Day on October 13.

While celebrating and remembering the lives of those whose names appear on the memorial wall, the annual service at the Lights on the Hill's memorial in Apex Park at Gatton, has traditionally been the time to unveil the name plaques for those who have been added to the wall in the previous 12 months.

But it is the details and records of those new names that are missing.

Lights on the Hill Trucking Memorial Inc's committee is seeking the public's assistance to ensure the people who have applied and paid to have names added to the wall in time for Memorial Day do not miss out.

While an extension of time has been negotiated with the name plaque supplier, the committee needs to have this outstanding issue resolved by mid July.

Early responses would be greatly appreciated so they can ensure names can be honoured in time for Memorial Day.
