Drivers don't know the rules: give way to cyclists

YOUR SAY: Over the past couple of weeks I've been out on the bicycle around various parts of Toowoomba and the surrounds and noticed some car drivers are not watching for cycle traffic.

Especially when the driver comes from behind and turns left in front of the cyclist causing the rider to brake hard or swerve to avoid the driver who has just come around them.

I understand the rule in cases like this is for the driver to wait behind the cyclist the proceed to the corner and turn.

This is also happening as some cars approach intersections and making right turns across the path of on coming cyclist's again causing the rider to brake and swerve to avoid collision.
