LETTER: Retirees fed up
IN ESTABLISHING the budget, Scott Morrison must tread carefully when tinkering with superannuation and pensions.
There were hints in his last TV interview that super and part pensions were involved in his consideration.
One will not know precisely what he has in store for retirees until the budget.
However, he should understand that there are over 2.5 million retirees and they can destroy the government's chances of re-election.
It is beyond comprehension why every new government must tamper with superannuation and pensions.
While he lines the pockets of refugees, some 90% who have been on welfare for the last five years, and pays millions to Muslim schools, that charity starts at home and pensioners have paid their dues in the form of taxes, while the newcomers have contributed nothing in the majority of cases; yes, not a cent.
Well, retirees have had enough and should get a guarantee from their prospective MPs that retirement funds are safe.
If not, don't vote them in.
