LETTER: Not Indonesia’s fault

OPENING our borders to whoever wanted to come, with the major number coming in boats from Indonesia, had nothing at all to do with the stopping of our export of cattle to Indonesia - after all, how long did it go on?

If there was anyone to blame it was the then Australian Labor Party, who deliberately "set the sugar of the table" and made it clear they had opened our borders to all.

I am certainly not the only Australian who has never forgiven the Labor Party and their supporters for that.

It cost us a financial fortune, and at least 1200 people their lives.
