Leaders work together to explore priorities for Isaac region
MORE than 30 community leaders and representatives from across the region explored key priorities and issues for their communities at a forum hosted by Isaac Regional Council.
Participants used learnings from the wider community to call on the draft Corporate Plan goals, strategies and to identify gaps and create recommendations. Isaac Regional Council's Corporate Plan 'Isaac 2020' outlines priorities across five key themes; community, economy, environment, infrastructure and governance.
Mayor Anne Baker said there was diverse representation, great discussion and a strong sense of community.
"Our community leaders and representatives are committed and passionate about the long-term future of our communities.
"We all know by working together we'll get a better outcome for our region."
The feedback from the wider community and leadership forum will help make strategic recommendations to council to include in the Corporate Plan.
"Council strives to deliver programs and services the community can enjoy and be proud of.
"Our aim is to provide a five Year Corporate Plan that reflects community aspirations and priorities," she said.
