Laura and Brent set for MasterChef grand final showdown
EITHER uni student Laura Cassai or skid steer operator Brent Owens will be crowned the MasterChef winner tonight.
The young guns are the final two amateur cooks standing in the six season of the reality cooking show and will face off in the two-hour grand final battle.
Health science student Cassai is just 19, making her the youngest ever grand finalist, while Owens is 24.
"It's amazing to be 19 and cooking at the level she cooks; it's incredible," said Emelia Jackson, who was eliminated from the show last night.
Jackson, 24, said both finalists are deserving of the grand final prize.
"I would love for Brent to win. He's got a really wide skill set," she said.
"He's very talented but so is Laura. I'd love both of them to win really."
Owens, who works for his girlfriend Madison's father's excavation business, hopes to star in a food travel show while Cassai wants to open an Italian café in McLaren Vale, South Australia.
The two finalists will don their white MasterChef aprons for the final time tonight as they compete across three rounds.
The MasterChef grand final airs tonight at 7.30pm on Network Ten.
