Last drinks at popular CBD bar for a while

IT'S last drinks at The Office tonight, as the popular laneway bar closes for major renovations.

The Duggan St watering hole will put on the ultimate "kinda goodbye" party so it can come back bigger, better and boozier in April.

The Office facelift, previously scheduled for three stages, will now be performed in one stage with a relaunch planned for two months' time.

Construction will begin at the site this Sunday to create an additional outside laneway par and upstairs speakeasy The Chelsea Wine Bar.

The bar is owned by Worldwide Hospitality Group directors Tony Kelly and Scott Hoskins.

Mr Kelly said the decision to close the venue for the duration of the construction was made easy when the maintenance works in Duggan St started.

"Never fear, the drinks will be flowing and the live music pumping until Saturday, so make sure you drop in to say goodbye," he said.

"We can't wait to show you what's in store, it's definitely worth the wait."
