Language of division is not the solution

LAST week in a Senate inquiry Pauline Hanson asked the Director-General of ASIO what was the relationship between Muslim refugees and terrorism in Australia?

He answered there was none.

Yet we have Keith Whiteside (Daily, May 27) rattling the bones of fear and hate by suggesting we "close the doors on Muslim migration” to Australia.

Historically Christianity has been an assertive and militarily inclined doctrine with a very violent past from the failed crusades to challenging communism.

What I don't get in Whiteside's doctrine is overtly confronting Islam when both worship the same God?

You would expect there would be meetings of civilised minds over any differences.

Whiteside uses the royal "our” in "one of our countries” and "our people” when referring to Manchester.

What Christianity is Whiteside representing when he uses a xenophobic attitude that holds no facility for people to get along together.

This is not Christianity but the language of division and witch-hunting.

Allah Akbah.
