Kulture Klash festival at Kawana postponed

THE severe wet weather has forced the postponement of the Kulture Klash festival at Kawana today.

The free festival was to have brought together the world of hot rods, rockabilly and pin-up pageants to Kawana Waters Hotel and surrounding carpark from noon to 9pm.

The event, which had been scheduled to mark the end of Mental Health Week, aimed to raise funds for the beyondblue mental health charity.

The Kulture Klash Festivals' Facebook page posted today that the Kawana event would be postponed to February 23 next year.

Pageant producer and event manager Bettie Bitcher, who was hosting the event in conjunction with the Buddina hotel, said the health and safety of patrons was of the highest priority, "so please join us in 2019 to raise funds for beyondblue”.
