Kids get wiggly at big show

IT WAS a sea of children dressed up in their favourite Wiggles colours as the group took to the stage at the Empire Theatre.

The Wiggle Around Australia tour hit the Garden City yesterday with two sold-out shows drawing thousands of fans.

Pittsworth mother Casey Graham travelled to Toowoomba to take her two young children to see the hugely popular children's group.

"It is wonderful that we don't have to be travelling all the way to Brisbane to see them," Ms Graham said.

"It is so good that people like The Wiggles come to these regional areas.

"This will be my third time seeing The Wiggles; my kids have both already been once."

For many of the children, dressing up was something they were excited to do when they came to see their favourite band.

A clear favourite among concert-goers was Wiggle Emma who, as the yellow Wiggle, drew many young fans dressed up in the same colour.

The new era of The Wiggles, made up of Emma Watkins, Simon Pryce, Lachlan Gillespie and original Wiggle Anthony Field took to the stage along with Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.
