CRICKET Australia has revamped their entry level programs for kids aged five to 10 years.

The Junior Blasters program teaches girls and boys the skills to play cricket through fun, game-based activities. This program is for kids aged 5-7, depending on their skill level.

All equipment is provided.

The Master Blasters program is for those kids who have got the basics of cricket and are ready to step up to playing modified games.

The age range is generally between seven and 10 years. However this will vary depending on ability and experience.

The programs are being run by numerous Ipswich based cricket clubs.

Tiny Tots football

COLLEGES United and Grasshopper Soccer are running a six-week Tiny Tots football program.

The program aims to introduce children to soccer through building gross motor skills, balance, running and ball control skills through a variety of fun activities.

The program is on Saturday mornings, starting October 20, from 8am-8.45am.

It is for kids aged 3-5.

Cost is $55 per child, which includes insurance, club t-shirt, soccer ball and medallion.

Basketball holiday camp

REGISTRATIONS are open for the September school holidays basketball hoops camp.

The camp is from September 25-27 at Llewellyn Stadium, Booval.

It caters for kids aged 5-18.

Cost is $75 for one day, $95 for two days or $130 for all three days.

The hoops camp is suitable for all experience levels.
