Jungle Jay sent packing from I'm a Celebrity

BIG friendly jungle giant Jay Laga'aia has been eliminated from I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former Play School presenter was tonight the second eliminated contestant of the Channel Ten reality show, following in the tracks of American actor Tom Arnold last Sunday night.

"I hope that my kids can look at this and be proud of me,” the father of eight said.

"I am discovering a lot more about myself. It has been a fantastic experience.”

Laga'aia was one of the most popular campmates in the South African jungle, surviving for three of a potential six weeks living with Casey Donovan, Tziporah Malkah, Steve Price, Kris Smith and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

All celebrities are competing for their chosen charity. For Laga'aia, that charity was the Touched By Olivia Foundation.

"He is a BFG, a big friendly giant,” beauty queen Tegan Martin said of Laga'aia, shock jock Steve Price adding: "Jay is the sort of guy you need doing on an experiment like this, he is never afraid.”

Model Kris Smith said: "Jay is probably the nicest man on earth.”
