Judy Nunn launches new novel

TOOWOOMBA bookworms were treated to an intimate reading by renowned Australian author and actor Judy Nunn today.

The author, famous for her former role as Ailsa Stewart on the television show Home and Away, read an excerpt from her new novel, Tiger Men, to an audience at the Toowoomba Library.

Her acting skills were on display as she switched between Irish, English and Australian accents as she entertained the crowd while reading from her book.

After a short question and answer session, fans had the chance to get up close and personal with Mrs Nunn while she signed copies of her book.

The new novel is her eleventh book and, by the sound of things, it won't be her last.

"I have written 11 books in 22 years, which doesn't necessarily mean I am a disciplined writer," she said.

"But I am always involved in my books, even if I am at a long lunch I will always be thinking of my characters and my books."
