Josh loves his Isuzu Gigamax

"I REALLY like this truck, it was originally a prime mover, but has now been stretched out to a long rigid, which, towing a tag trailer, proves perfect for our work.”

We caught up with Josh Mitchell at the Epping Forest Caltex recently.

He was driving his Glenburn Farm Contracting 2010 Isuzu Gigamax and trailer, loaded with two tractors, a Case and a Daido, on his way from Campania to Longford.

"Then we'll knock off for the day after an early start and enjoy getting warm again! We've only been up and running for about four months now,” he said.

"But we put in a good six months prior to starting out doing research and getting it all organised. So far we are going quite well, and are busy enough, and we are still trying to get our name out there.

"We are between farms at the moment, and so this is our full-time livelihood at the moment, and I am really happy about the whole show as I am enjoying the driving, and the work.

"Prior to this I spent my life farming, which always included driving the farm truck, so this is like a step up to driving full-time, but so far I like it and the challenges it presents, and have no regrets at all.”

We asked him about time off, he said he enjoys spending what time he can with his family, and especially with his father.
