Join The Pirates of Penzance in swashbuckling fun

GILBERT and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance returns to Caloundra this weekend.

Possibly the most critically acclaimed and popular of all Gilbert and Sullivan musicals, the stellar cast is led by musical theatre star Philip Gould as the swashbuckling Pirate King.

The Pirates hit the road again in 2018 for their 21st anniversary (and final) tour from Promac Productions and perform at The Events Centre on Saturday, February 17, at 7.30pm, and Sunday, February 18, at 2pm.

This fast-paced, complete production tours with a full set and costumes, plus a cast of only six.

The family musical comedy has The Pirates clashing swords and trading barbs in this modern take.

Other cast members include: veteran comic baritone Brian Hannan as the Major General and the Police Sergeant; international soprano Alison Jones as Mabel; Opera Australia mezzo soprano Caroline Vercoe as Ruth; and Chris McKenna as Frederic with Dominic Woodhead as the musical director on piano.

I Am The Pirate King, Policeman's Lot is Not a Happy One, Cat Like Tread and Poor Wandering One are just a few of the hit songs performed in this production.
