Meet television series stars at Jetty Theatre premiere

FOXTEL is holding a special advanced screening of the season three premiere of A Place to Call Home, tonight at the Jetty Memorial Theatre.

Cast members Brett Climo, who plays George Bligh, and Jenni Baird, who plays Regina Standish, will be attending to introduce the screening and meet with fans.

There will also be a display of vintage cars seen on the show.

Coffs Harbour holds special significance for the television series finding its new home on Foxtel.

After the series was cancelled by the Seven Network, local woman Jeannette Walsh made a phone call to her brother, Foxtel executive director of television Brian Walsh, to express her disapproval.

This conversation put the show on Foxtel's radar and eventually led to a landmark agreement between the two networks, which has the show produced by Seven and screened on Foxtel's SoHo channel.

Tonight's event begins at 6.30pm with the screening starting at 7pm.
