Jessica Mauboy to help mentor 'The Voice' contestants

THE Sapphires star Jessica Mauboy has just been unveiled as a mentor on The Voice Australia.

The talented young singer, who is also the new face of the NRL's 2013 ad campaign, is one of four celebrity mentors who will be helping coaches Ricky Martin, Joel Madden, Seal and Delta Goodrem during the battles rounds.

Mauboy will work with new judge Martin, while Madden will be joined by singer songwriter Ben Lee, Seal will be joined by Sneaky Sound System front woman Connie Mitchell and Goodrem will be joined by One Republic front man Ryan Tedder.

Each mentor will collaborate with their coach to develop 14 artists selected during the blind auditions.

Both coach and mentor will provide individual training to each artist, breaking down their song selection, sharing performance advice and expertise, plus the highs and lows of their own careers, in preparation for the battle rounds.

The Voice Australia series two will premiere on Channel 9 after Easter.
