Jarrod cooks his own bacon and eggs on the road
YOUNG truckie Jarrod Bligh drives a Kenworth K200 for Sunshine Coast based Brown's Slipway and had transported barbecues north to Townsville when Big Rigs met him.
Aged 27, Jarrod has been with the company for about four years and was parked up at the BP Cluden.
"I have a backload of airconditioners damaged in the recent floods to take back,” he said.
Whilst Jarrod may have delivered a load of barbecues, he also has a small gas cooker in the truck to prepare his own meals.
"I cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast and pork and vegetables last night for tea. Also I have a few pots and pans,” he said.
Outside work Jarrod enjoys bike riding, 4WD vehicles and the odd cold beer at his favourite watering hole - the Beerwah Hotel,
His first truck was a 1984 Ford which he drove for a subbie at a Queensland mine.
Jarrod reckons the highway between Warwick and Goondiwindi and south to Moree needs attention when driving on.
