Simon Reid

IT WAS good to catch up with Simon Reid from Mount Seymour the other day at Mood Food near Kempton when he dropped in for a quick break.

Simon was driving his still eye catching 1995 427 CH Mack at the time and was towing a bulk potato bin on his way from Huonville to the cool store at Devonport.

He told us he has been on the road for 20 years or so, virtually always as an owner-driver.

"It's a great life still, but you certainly have to be prepared to work hard and be smart to survive," he said.

He tells us he has had the Mack for five years and so far it has been a totally reliable workhorse all-round.
