TV show opens the door to luxury Toowoomba home
IT'S a spectacular home, with views to match.
Television program Australia's Best Houses were filming at Robert and Cathy Weymouth's home on 40 Kara View Ct yesterday, and the home's designer said he's confident the property lives up to the show's lofty name.
The home, built in 2009, makes the most of stunning views of Tabletop Mountain and the Lockyer Valley, and includes a tennis court, wine cellar, billiard room and indoor pool and spa.
Designer Paul Brundell and Feather & Lawry Design created the luxurious property's unique look, with Mrs Weymouth behind many of the design ideas.
Mr Brundell said he was looking forward to the home being explored by viewers of the prime time show.
"It is very exciting, and it's very nervy," Mr Brundell said.
WELCOME TO MILLIONAIRES ROW TOOWOOMBA
"It's a modern plantation style house - there's a lot timber in it, a lot of stone, a bit of an earthy eel, it ties in to the landscape."
"I'm very proud of this house - I feel it's one of the nicer houses I've designed."
Australia's Best Houses host Gary Takle said the entire show was being hosted from the Rangeville residence.
"We're also looking at three other homes, and pretty amazing homes, but this one was the highlight of the show," he said.
"The reason we were attracted to the house was obviously the view, and also the plantation style, it's like a resort."
The episode will run in December on Foxtel channel Aurora.
