INTRODUCING: Warwick's best restaurants at your doorstep
DOORBELLS will be ringing all around Warwick with the town's take away delivery options about to get a massive shake up.
After years of being limited to chicken and pizza, residents will now have the pick of all their favourite restaurants at the foot of their doors.
Warwick local Bec Page is just about to launch her exciting new food delivery service 'Allow Us', after she noticed a huge demand in the community.
"If you're stuck at home and you've had a few too many drinks or just don't feel like getting out of your pyjamas, now you'll have a lot more options," Mrs Page said.
She said the delivery service would also allow local restaurants to increase their revenue.
"Just think of how many sales are being missed for these businesses because people can't make it out to pick up their take away," she said.
The response from local businesses and community members has been fantastic, and Mrs Page is looking forward to firing up the engine on her delivery cars for the first time over the Easter holidays.
Once up and running, Warwick residents will be able to order through the Allow Us website or mobile app and have their favourite restaurant meals show up on their doorstep shortly afterwards.
Mrs Page said it was about time Warwick got something like this going, but was looking forward to bringing a local touch to the delivery service.
"It's better for it to be a local company that knows that town rather than a heartless massive corporation that has no accountability," she said.
It also means less cost to Warwick businesses, as large-scale companies like UberEats and Deliveroo often take a large percentage.
"We have a lot of small businesses that couldn't afford that," she said.
And with a knowledge of the town gleaned from 11 years in the Warwick deliveries industry, there's no one better placed for the job than Mrs Page.
"I didn't come into it to make money, I came into it because I saw there need there."
With two new staff on hand and a couple of shiny cars on their way, restaurants will also need to prepare themselves to ramp up the heat.
Deliveries will be available from 11am-2pm and 5pm-8pm in the Warwick town precinct.
As demand increases Mrs Page expects to expand the delivery area, but for now the Warwick residents should keep her busy enough.
