Industry heavyweight Edgerton to judge Flix in the Stix

A TALENTED industry heavyweight will be 2013's first Optus Flix in the Stix guest curator.

The event will welcome the man behind last year's favourite film - Nash Edgerton.

Optus Flix in the Stix will be at Tondoon Botanic Gardens on Saturday, April 27.

Mr Edgerton won the popular choice award for best film of 2012 for his short film, Bear.

After getting his break at age 18  as a stunt performer, Mr Edgerton has gone on to establish himself as a multi award-winning actor, stunt performer, editor, producer, writer and director.

He has directed short films including Fuel, Lucky, Spider and Bear.

This year Mr Edgerton will be choosing his favourite films of 2013.

The annual Optus Flix in the Stix showcases music performances, spoken word, short films and comedy.

Tickets are on sale for the event from premier.ticketek.com.au
