HUNDREDS of trucks have been stopped by New South Wales Police as part of Operation Impact, a state wide operation focused on the heavy vehicle industry.
The Joint Traffic Task Force officers continue to regularly pull over and inspect heavy vehicles, drivers and operators.
Since the beginning of the year the Joint Traffic Taskforce have stopped over 400 heavy vehicles.
The taskforce has downloaded over 240 trucks, and conducted over 4500 random breath tests.
To date the taskforce has issued 55 heavy vehicle speeding infringements and taken action against 38 unregistered vehicles.
Officers from Operation Impact have stated they will continue to target fatigue, speeding, drink and drug-driving and vehicle compliance in the heavy vehicle industry, to ensure the safety of all road users.
