HOT TOPICS: Residents concerned about road potholes

SWAN Creek residents have raised concerns over the disrepair of Four Mile Lane, warning if something isn't done soon to fix up the potholes and road width, a serious crash will be unavoidable.

Doug Purnell has been living in the area, and he says he hasn't seen the road as bad as it is now.

With motorists' GPS navigation sending them along Four Mile Lane as a short-cut to avoid highway works, Mr Purnell said the road was a safety concern.

Big Rigs readers shared their thoughts on that particular road - and others.

Jevan Hart: "Yes and if there's an accident before its fixed councillors or shire whoever is in charge of roads should be charged.”

Dink Pope: "I think 99% of country roads in Australia need fixing.”

Rodney Jeffery: "Any road with potholes needs fixing.”

Rod Delriego: "You want come out to Wollondily shire that's a good road compared to our roads.”

Marc Wilkie: "No it's all good just put wire barriers next to it.”

Dalton Bryan: "Spare a thought for the motorbike riders.”
