FARMERS wanting to explore innovative technology and new crops have had the opportunity to do so at the horticulture expo.

Hosted by the Lockyer Valley Growers association, the two day expo had plenty of local and visiting farmers checking out what was on offer from a range of producers and suppliers.

Growers' president Anthony Staatz said it had been many years since the expo was held.

"Our primary objective was to hold the horticulture expo again," Mr Staatz said.

"We're very proud to be part of getting the expo up and running again."

The Lockyer Valley Growers Horticulture and Innovation Expo had 10 of the best seed companies on site, displaying their latest genetics and crops.

Brookfields Wild Canary Botanical Bistro chef Glen Barrett was on hand, showcasing how to make tasty salads using Lockyer Valley ingredients.
