Horse rider airlifted to hospital

4pm: A RIDER was airlifted to hospital in severe pain and pelvis injuries after his horse fell and rolled on him on a cattle station south of Capella yesterday.

The 28-year old-man was in a stable condition in Mackay Base Hospital yesterday afternoon.

He had earlier been treated on the ground by Queensland Ambulance Service and given pain relief in the air during the RACQ-CQ Rescue Helicopter flight.
