A LOG truck has rolled in northern Tasmania, causing the temporary closure of the West Tamar Highway.

In a statement issued just before 9am today, Tasmania Police said the highway north of Exeter would be closed for periods of up to 15 minutes for the next hour to allow for the safe removal of a fully laden log truck.

The truck rolled near the Tamar Valley Christian Church.

Police said no one had been injured.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area if possible and expect delays of up to 15 minutes from 9am to allow cranes to salvage the truck.
