Video: Rocky footy man Luke Guinane stars on The Footy Show

HE played a great game for Rockhampton crowds last weekend, and on Thursday national audiences also got a glimpse of some of Luke Guinane's skills after footage of him aired on The Footy Show.

The Norths Chargers footballer scored three tries in an exciting game against the Biloela Panthers last Sunday at Browne Park.

It was the second hat-trick Luke has pulled off in A-grade.

A Norths and Rockhampton Rustler volunteer who filmed the game put together a short video of his three tries and uploaded it to Facebook.

Luke said he decided to send it in to the Footy Show to see if it would be accepted into the League of Their Own segment, which showcases junior and senior players from across Australia.

The show played one of his tries during the segment, presented by Erin Molan and Darryl Brohman.

"I've always enjoyed watching the League of their Own segment," Luke said.

"This is the first time I've had footage of a good game I've played … and it's good exposure for Norths."

Having a last name that many announcers have struggled with over the years, he also said he was happy that Erin was able to pronounce it.

People can view and vote for their favourite video by jumping on The Footy Show's Facebook page and clicking on the League of Their Own tab.

The winner of each week receives an Xbox 360 console valued at $188 and an Xbox LIVE three month Gold Subscription.
