"THERE'S a bit of a story as to how I bought this truck," Haydn Bean from Deloraine told us.

"It started out when I went to Melbourne about four months ago with a mate who

went over to look at a truck he was interested in.

"Well while I was there over I saw this one for sale, and the price was right, and as a result I came home the proud owner of this 2004 T-404 with a 450 Hp Series 60 up front.

"And no regrets, in fact I have been working flat strap ever since."

At the time he was towing a tri-axle trailer of fertiliser from Deloraine to Royal George.

Haydn's love for trucks and the industry has been a long term affair until, while driving on the mainland some 20 years ago, he was involved in an accident.

So this move back into becoming an owner driver has been a major one, but seemingly a happy one.

"Well I am certainly back into it," he added "and so far I am loving it".

"Having the Kenworth will supplement the farm and help maintain a lifestyle I love."

He added that any time "off" is spent doing maintenance and with the family.
