A FORMER MasterChef contestant and Cleo Bachelor of the Year will headline this year's Hampton Festival.

Hayden Quinn will head to Hampton in May to share his love for quality produce and accessible cooking.

Mr Quinn appeared on MasterChef in 2011 and recently completed a new series called Surfing the Menu-Next Generation, which will air mid-year on the ABC and Discovery Asia.

Hampton Festival coordinator Wendy Allen said Mr Quinn's appearance would be a welcome addition to this year's program.

"Hayden is such a lovely fit with our festival with his grassroots cooking style and love for fresh, seasonal produce," she said.

"Sharing and celebrating food is a resounding theme in his books and shows and we share his view that regional food should be celebrated and shared."
