KATRINA Harvey will be an Australian champion boxer if all goes to plan in her national title fight tomorrow night at Kings at the Warwick RSL Memorial Club.
Harvey will fight Natalie Jankinson in one of 16 fights at the Warwick Boxing Club Fight Night.
The fight is now an Australian title fight in the light heavyweight division in the Global Boxing Association.
Originally, Warwick boxer Shane Parry was to fight for a national light heavyweight men's title but three likely opponents have pulled out so he won't fight.
As of yesterday, 140 tickets have been sold at the Warwick RSL.
Harvey will give away 3kg to her opponent but isn't worried about weight.
She has been sparring against 16-year-old Assumption College student Jack Collins who is aiming for his second win tomorrow night.
Collins said he hit Harvey hard enough in the spars to make her work.
"I hit him hard enough to make it hurt," Harvey said.
She trains each afternoon at the boxing club gym as well as running daily.
Harvey works at the Warwick RSL and reckons she will have plenty of support from workmates for her title fight. "It is exciting to be in my first title fight," she said.
Eight fights are pre-arranged and more boxers will be matched on the night.
