Gruflets scoring wins

Rugby Union: The Gladstone Rugby Union juniors are hitting their straps during the summer season and showing future Wallabies potential.

Under-11s coach Peter King said the Gruflets are stand-outs in the competition.

"The junior teams travel up to Rockhampton every weekend and are going well in the competition," King said.

"We only have three left from last year's team and all the rest are new to rugby."

Grufs president Amanda Ball encouraged interested juniors to come to training.

"Any juniors interested can come down to training on Tuesday and Thursdays and the under-7s and under-11s are from 4.30pm to 5.30pm and under-13s and up are from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, all at the bottom field below Marley Brown Oval," Ball said.
