Gruen finale out-rates The X Factor and The Bachelorette
THE ABC's hit ad, marketing and spin analysis show Gruen has finished on a high.
Last night's season finale was the second most-watched non-news program of the night, narrowly beating Seven's The X Factor across the five metro cities and coming in not far behind Nine's The Block.
The show drew 832,000 metro viewers, compared to The Block's 902,000 and The X Factor's 809,000.
Considering the final Pitch segment of the year asked two ad companies to convince Australians watching reality TV is bad for them, it's fitting the Gruen finale easily out-rated The Bachelorette.
In the most successful season yet, the Wil Anderson-helmed show has consistently out-rated its commercial competitors in the busy Wednesday 8.30pm time slot.

If you missed last night's finale, Gruen's extended spin-off Gruel XL airs tonight at 8.30pm on ABC2.
Panelist Todd Sampson can also be seen on Tuesday nights on Channel 10 in his new science show Body Hack.
Viewers can also catch up on the complete 2016 season of Gruen on ABC's iView until October 19.
