GRIDLOCK: One adult, two children hurt in Bruce Hwy roll-over
UPDATE: Paramedics are assessing the condition of one adult and two young children at the scene of a car roll-over on the Bruce Highway.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the injuries were being treated as minor.
She said when emergency crews arrived all three were out of the rolled vehicle.
A witness stuck in the traffic said the car aquaplaned in the wet weather after attempting to overtake a semi-trailer.
The driver lost control, spun the vehicle into an embankment and rolled off the road, the witness said.
The witness said traffic was heavily congested but slowly moving in the southbound lane towards the Parklands exit near Nambour.
The southbound lane is backed several kilometres, the witness said.
Traffic in the northbound lanes is moving freely.
Motorists should expect extensive delays as crews work to clear the scene, with debris strewn across the road.
