‘Good culture’ makes care experience positive for Taylor

THREE-year-old Taylor Joyce visits Bright Sparks Child Development Centre five days a week and says the best thing about her day is playing with her friends and the second best thing is the toys, especially marbles.

But she is also a big fan of animals.

"I like cuddling the rabbits," Taylor said.

"And I pick up the eggs from the chickens."

Taylor's dad James Joyce said he was really happy with Taylor's experience at the centre and it was good to see her have so many opportunities to interact with animals, the teachers and other kids.

"Taylor loves being outside and the teachers are all really positive, plus there's a lot of good culture in the centre," he said.

"Sometimes Taylor comes home saying strange words and later we find out she's been speaking Japanese, Indonesian or indigenous words."

Mr Joyce said he had not heard of the mychild.com.au website or the new quality framework standards, but would take a look.
