Glee all smiles after 15th consecutive premiership win
GLEE has had plenty to reflect on since winning its 15th consecutive Far North Coast A-Grade hockey major premiership when they beat Ballina 4-0 at the weekend.
Only coach Rhonda Mathers and two players - Emily Savins and Cassie Hughes (Douglas) - have featured in all 15 grand finals.
Savins and Hughes were 15-year-old Lismore High School students when Glee won the grand final in 2001.
Key players Renee Dunstan, Stacey McLennan (Savins) and Kim Chappel have played in 10 or more grand final wins.
Club records show that a total of 53 players have been part of one or more of Glee's grand final teams.
Glee Hockey Club was established in Lismore in 1928 and members proudly display the logo "The club with spirit and tradition".
