Club members guided around Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens
THE Buderim Garden Club recently went on its second bus trip for the year to the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens.
At the gardens, volunteer guides showed small groups through the different areas including the newly-opened Legacy Way adjacent to the new road tunnel.
The BGC is a very active group involved in monthly meetings with interesting speakers, and recently there have been chats about plants and gardening in general - e.g. about growing plants from seeds, the changing of the colour of carrots, and how to grow rosellas and then make rosella jam (and eat some at afternoon tea time).
Workshops and working bees are held on a regular basis.
