Fun-filled country comedy sets the stage at Jubilee Hall
EVER heard of two local shearers getting hitched at a bachelor and spinster ball during a game of spin the bottle?
Watch the madness unfold as Roma State College presents The Great Australian Rock Musical this weekend.
The side-splitting show includes an epic tale of marriage confusion, brides drowning their sorrows and a multi-billion dollar sheep station called Titbinbilla.
Director Shari Hirning said this year's musical was fun-filled.
"It's good country humour mixed with all the best songs,” Ms Hirning said.
Without giving too many spoilers away, student Lauren Squires, who plays Darren, said the show had given the students a lot of creative licence.
"I think the Jessie's Girl dance is the funniest, especially with a surprise cameo,” she said.
