Fun to be had if parents invest time, effort
TOOWOOMBA offers heaps for youngsters, but parents need to be "willing to put time into their children's lives".
That's the overwhelming message from The Chronicle's Facebook likers discussing claims that the Garden City does not offer enough activities for kids.
The discussion was sparked by one of our Facebook likers claiming Toowoomba lacked "things for kids".
That prompted disagreement from other likers.
Ella Louise Woodfield said there was heaps for children to do in Toowoomba.

"Parks with green grass, play cafes, sports clubs, musical classes, etc," she said.
"People just need to be willing to put their time into their children's lives, not pay someone to make the fun for them."
Sharon Knox said there was no need to build activity centres for children.
"They need to use their imagination and go out and make their own fun without it costing anything and getting in to trouble.
