Four heavy vehicles involved in Pacific Highway chaos

FOUR trucks have been involved in a major incident on the Pacific Highway at 1:30 am this morning.

Three b-doubles and a single Pan Tech truck collided early Thursday morning at North of Port Macquarie Telegraph Point near Moorside Drive.

NSW Police have confirmed one b-double driver was trapped for 4 hours, and later airlifted to hospital with non-life threatening head and leg injuries.

Another individual was reported to have been transported to Port Maquarie hospital with minor injuries.

Initial reports say the incident took place at a red signal as the vehicles were travelling north bound.

Emergency services, a heavy tow truck and a crane are all at the scene.

Traffic is affected in both directions with motorists being warned to exercise caution.

More to come.
