FORMER footballer Danny Roge

FORMER Australian Rules star footballer Danny Rogers was delivering goods to businesses in the main street of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands when Big Rigs saw him on December 20.

Danny drives a Fuso Fighter for Bidvest of Cairns and has been doing it for 10 years.

"It is a very nice part of Australia up here in far north Queensland and this is a great truck," he said.

During his long football career, Danny played well over 150 games for North Cairns in the Cairns and District competition.

Danny, 44, also played footy for the Redpa Bulls and Scottstown Tigers when based at Smithton in north-west Tasmania.

"I lived at Smithton down in Tassie for about four years and it is also a nice place," he said.

Danny gets around, and the next day Big Rigs saw him making deliveries at Mossman beside the Captain Cook Hwy.
