Footballer 'marks territory' after goal for Napoli
FOOTBALL: Napoli's Dries Mertens hit a brace in a thrilling 2-1 win at Roma in their Serie A clash ... and in between goals performed what's been dubbed the 'dog urination celebration'.
Napoli took a 1-0 lead into half-time at the Stadio Olimpico after Mertens struck against the run of play to flick the ball over onrushing Wojciech Szczesny on 26 minutes.
Mertens celebrated by pretending to be a dog urinating on the corner flag. He later posted on Instagram a photo of himself and his dog.
He completed his brace, taking his league tally for the season to 18 goals, five minutes into the second half with another cool finish.
Mertens wasn't the first to get on all fours and cock a leg after a goal, however, with Liam Boyce 'marking his territory' during an Irish league game between Cliftonville and Linfield in November 2012.
