Flights diverted due to wild weather

FLIGHTS have been diverted from Mackay Airport due to severe thunderstorms.

QantasLink's flights 2512 from Brisbane and 2305 from Rockhampton and Virgin's flight 607 from Brisbane all have been diverted to Rockhampton, an airport spokeswoman said.

QantasLink flight 2306 from Cairns and Townsville had also been diverted back to Townsville.

These diversions would result in delays or cancellations of corresponding outbound flights, she said.
