Five ways you can improve your TV reception right now
When you are faced with a screen full of white noise it can be overwhelming. But keep calm because there are things you can do right now to improve your reception at home.
1. Auto tuning
Most TVs now have auto tune and it can be as easy as pressing one button to search through UHF and VHF frequencies until you have all your channels. Once it has fished the search the TV will 'turn on' to the first channel.
Still no reception?
2. Manual tuning
Sometimes the channel will be there, but the signal is a little too weak for the automatic tuning. And you have to find somewhere to start. Switching to manual tuning is time consuming but there could be a lot to uncover from a manual search.

3. Check wiring
One day you have perfect reception, and the next day it's gone? Time to check the wiring. A lot of the time a loss of reception can be attributed to lose wiring. Before getting on the phone to complain check all the wiring.
4. Check with your neighbours
So it's not the TV it's the reception. Time to visit the neighbours. Check out if they are having the same issues as you. The level of reception in each area can be different so your neighbour might have had the same
issues as you. Who know they might have had the answers? And if they don't have a problem there is a chance they would like the same shows.
Still no reception?
5. Amplify signal
If you still don't have the answer. There are plenty of amplifiers on the market to help boost the signal. Once you have installed an amplifier make sure you retune your television.
