THE Isis Club put on a spectacular show on Saturday to support Camp Quality, with its first car and bike show.

Churchill St was crowded with cars and people as rock and roll drove into town.

The Isis Club entertained spectators with music, food and drinks.

Featured in the show were hot rods, muscle cars, customs, classic, vintage cars and bikes.

The beautiful spring weather drew people from Brisbane, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton and Gympie.

The show and shine car display had many great entrants.

Alwyn Harrip said his vintage car would turn 90 this year.

"The spare tyre is 60 years old," he said.

The car was purchased new in 1925 and was only used once a month to drive into town.

"The four tyres were changed 35 years ago," Mr Harrip said.

The pristine car only ventures out on special occasions.

The crowds enjoyed taking selfies with the cars and posting photos on social media.

The event organisers were pleased with the event and the well-behaved crowds.

Organiser Ross McGaw said: "I would like to thank the SES for all the support on Saturday, they did a great job.

"I have so many people to thank for all the effort put in." Mr McGaw thanked the Australian Street Rod Federation, Rod Inc, for the prizes, Priority for the traffic control and all the car clubs.

"The event was made possible from the group effort of all the car clubs," he said.

Isis Club manager Kerry Smythe said it was a brilliant day and Camp Quality had raised much-needed funds.

Event organisers have decided to hold the event next year.

"For our first event we were pleased and we have started on planning next year and we promise to make it bigger and better," Mr McGaw said.

The event attracted 60 cars and two motorbike entrants.

The competition had many strong contenders and it was difficult for the judges. Congratulations to all of the winners in this year's event.
