Find your best costume for Play School Dress Up Party

BIG Ted, Little Ted, Humpty and Jemima are getting ready for a Dress Up Party at Cobb+Co Museum on August 27 to celebrate 50 years of the much-loved Australian television program Play School.

Play School presenter Andrew McFarlane will be coming to the museum to celebrate Play School's Dress Up Party.

Mr McFarlane, a well-known Australian actor, has been a presenter on Play School since 2000 and is its longest-serving presenter.

One of Australia's most beloved actors, he was among the original cast of The Flying Doctors, one of Australia's most successful drama series to date.

Flying in from Sydney, he will join in the family-friendly fun of storytelling, craft activities, party games and more.

Kids can come dressed up as their favourite character and join the fancy dress parade at 1pm during the day.

Cobb+Co Museum is currently hosting the exhibition Happy Birthday Play School: Celebrating 50 years which was developed by the National Museum of Australia in Canberra in collaboration with the ABC to honour Australia's longest-running children's television program and its special place in peoples' hearts.

The exhibition is on until October 15.

Admission is included in general museum entry, which is free for residents in the Toowoomba Regional Council area.
