Final for My Kitchen Rules

TONIGHT'S My Kitchen Rules grand final will be a showdown between South Australians Nic Mazzone and Rocco La Bella and Leigh Sexton and Jennifer Evans.

And although he'll be busy at work, Babalou chef de partie Leigh Robertson will have his girlfriend record the show so he doesn't miss a second.

"I'm not allowed to watch it without her," the avid MKR fan said.

He said he was eager to see the amateur cooks fight it out.

"If the boys stick to their Italian roots they'll have it made," he said.

"I'm thinking they have something good up their sleeve but the girls have a very high skill level.

"I've been really impressed with what they know and the methods of cooking they use."

Tonight's final cook-off is expected to be a very close fight.

The pressure will be on as the team must prepare a five-course menu for a full restaurant, equating to 100 plates to serve per team.

Mr Robertson believes that pressure could be the ultimate demise for the boys.

"The girls handle the pressure a little bit better," Mr Robertson said.

"The boys made a few mistakes last night, silly things like putting nutmeg on the fish instead of pepper.

"They have a tendency to do too much and that could be their downfall.

"Like the judges say, less is more."

Judges Pete Evans and Manu Feildel will announce who walks away with the crown and a staggering $250,000 in prize money.

The My Kitchen Rules grand final starts at 7.30pm tonight on Channel Seven.
