Final days of Play School celebrated in Toowoomba

HUNDREDS of people have visited Toowoomba's Cobb and Co Museum to say good bye to Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty and Jemima.

The characters have been at the museum celebrating 50 years of Play School, ABC's much-loved television program.

More than 600 visitors said farewell to the exhibition and enjoyed all the fun activities on offer including party games and craft activities.

The Happy Birthday Play School exhibition had been at the museum for six months and it was a favourite for kids and adults alike.

Cobb and Co exhibitions and programs manager Janelle Insley said thousands of people had enjoyed reliving their childhood memories at the exhibition.

"I think people really enjoyed seeing the iconic Rocket Clock, Flower Clock and the famous Play School windows up close," Ms Insley said.
