Fifty Shades release has fans excited

FIFTY Shades of Grey, the film based on the global phenomenon and hit erotica novels, will hit Ipswich cinemas tomorrow - just in time for Valentine's Day.

Ipswich Birch Carroll and Coyle general manager Bek Barnes said the film's first screening had already been sold out more than a week before the opening night.

"We'd sold over 200 tickets by last week so that was great," she said.

"It's got a lot of hype, I've had a lot of women calling in very quiet voices to see if there are any more tickets left.

"I think people are really keen to see how they'll translate from the book to film, people are very excited."

Ms Barnes said the Ipswich cinema would be offering prizes as well as candy, balloons and flowers to those seeing the MA15+ rated film on Valentine's Day.

"The release is perfectly timed, so we've tried to make an event of it," she said.

"With so many big releases coming out like Jurassic World and the new Avengers movie we will be trying to get people involved and really have fun with the themes this year."
