Express your interest in new sport facilities

IPSWICH will have three new sporting facilities available for use in 2019. They are:

Springfield Central Sports Complex;

Fernbrooke Oval, Redbank Plains; and

South Ripley Fields, South Ripley.

Ipswich City Council encourages those wishing to be given the opportunity to utilise these fields to submit an expression of interest.

Sports psychology workshop

A FREE workshop will teach techniques to calm the body and prepare the mind for performance.

Learn how to mentally prepare and "psych up'' for competition.

Understand how the mind can affect performance and increase your concentration, confidence, control and commitment.

The workshop is on Monday, August 13, from 6pm-9pm at the Ipswich Civic Centre (Lockyer Room).

Holiday clinic

COLLEGES United, in conjunction with Grasshopper Soccer, are hosting a July school holiday clinic.

The clinic will involve skill development and small-sided games.

It is open to children from five to 12 years.

The clinic is on July 10-12, from 9am to noon each day.

Cost is $80 per child, which includes insurance, a soccer ball, medallion, sausage sizzle on the last day and inflatable field on the final day.
